After Care Needs of Inpatients reovering from COVID-19
Please see the link to guidance which has been published concerning the after-care needs of inpatients recovering from COVID-19. The document is designed to support local primary care and community health services as they work with partners to develop recovery/rehabilitation services for patients after they have been discharged following an acute episode of COVID-19.
Critical Care Staff Well-being
The ICS have developed a series of posters to help with Critical Care staff well-being during and beyond COVID-19.
Click on the image below to be diverted to the website for access to the various poster resources.
Ideally the posters should not be used in isolation, but alongside other initiatives. Put them up on a staff wellbeing board, where all the posters are available together for staff to view, or you could place copies of the posters around the unit in staff areas, where staff can read them freely. We hope you find them to be a useful resource for your multi-professional critical care team. To share feedback on the poster series, write to our Communications team
COVIDTrach Update
provided by Dr Shondipon Laha - ICS Honorary Secretary and COVID-19 Tracheostomy Working Group member
"Nearly 4 weeks ago we launched COVIDTrach, a multispecialty collaborative project to collect data on COVID-19 tracheostomies performed in the UK. The response from hospitals around the country has been excellent and we currently have over 85 NHS trusts signed up and over 800 data sets submitted. We are hoping to have many more and would encourage any units not already signed up to please do so.
By the 11 May we had over 500 data entries and so the working group, with representation from all stakeholders, have produced an interim report for dissemination. The early data analysis suggests that tracheostomies have a role to play in the management of ventilated COVID-19 patients. Health care professionals involved in tracheostomies appear to have been protected with adequate levels of PPE, with no reported cases of transmission and infectivity. However, we are conscious this is early data and these observations may change. The final report will aim to provide a more comprehensive assessment of the role of tracheostomy in COVID-19 patients."

a 'mobile app' called Clinibee
South London Adult Critical Care ODN have developed a 'mobile app' called Clinibee, for accessing clinical guidelines and have created a new library (COVID-19 SLACCN). They have opened up their Clinibee platform for the use outside of the SLACCN group. You can access this for free by registering with your nhs email address.
If interested you can register by going to www.clinibee.com and by downloading the app on any Android or Apple OS.
There are two libraries that you can request to follow:
1. COVID -19 SLACCN
A collection of useful resources and materials focused on ICUs, owned and managed by the South London Adult Critical Care Network (SLACCN).
2. COVID -19 (Shared Guidance)
A collection of materials produced by the Guy's and St Thomas' Trust and made available to the wider NHS Organisations.
Both these libraries could be useful for ICU teams across the country.
any issues whilst registering please contact team@clinibee.com
